The Sandman’s Neil Gaiman Is Facing Serious Sexual Assault Charges

Neil Gaiman has been a darling of American and British pop culture for decades and has even contributed to the world of DC with his phenomenal creativity. But all of that might shatter in a second as he now faces serious allegations.

When the #MeToo movement started in America, events like these began to surface. Though the authenticity of these claims needs to be checked, in general, people started to be more and more vocal.

And amidst all these, Neil Gaiman is now trapped.

Neil Gaiman faces sexual assault accusations from two women, initially reported on Tortoise’s podcast “Master: the allegations against Neil Gaiman.” The women, a former nanny and a fan, allege rough and degrading sex with the bestselling author, often non-consensual.

The first woman, Scarlett, 23, claims Gaiman assaulted her during their first meeting in February 2022 at his New Zealand residence, where she worked as a nanny.

She alleges ongoing non-consensual acts during their three-week relationship. Gaiman asserts they only engaged in consensual activities and denies any unlawful behavior.

The second woman, K, met Gaiman at a 2003 book signing in Sarasota, Florida. She was 18 then and started a romantic relationship with him at 20. K alleges painful and unwanted sex, including penetration despite her protests due to an infection.

Gaiman denies these allegations, suggesting K’s claims stem from regret and Scarlett’s from a condition linked to false memories, which Scarlett’s medical records do not support.

Events and allegations like these will surely lower Gaiman’s credibility sooner than you expect. Keeping the seriousness of these events in mind, a thorough investigation will be conducted by the police.
