The Sequel To Wind River To Be Directed By This Marvel Director

A Sequel to the 2017 crime drama ‘Wind River’ has been announced. It will be named ‘Wind River: The Next Chapter’ and will be produced under the banner of Castle Rock Entertainment.

‘Yellowstone’ creator Taylor Sheridan had directed the first movie and now the sequel will be directed by Canadian director Kari Skogland.

‘Wind River’ had Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen in leading roles in the neo western Crime Thriller. They played a wildlife service tracker Lambert and an F.B.I agent Jane who investigate the murder of a 18 year old girl Natalie. Martin Sensmeier will reprise his role as Chip Hanson, the brother of Natalie, in the movie. The rest of the cast is not yet revealed. The production of the film is likely to start in January 2023.

The film was very well accepted by audiences and critics and the news of the sequel is a surprise to many because the story was complete and there was little room for further expansion of the universe. This movie will now focus on new unsolved murders in the Wind River reservation. It can be hinted from Mark Sensmeier’s return that there will be a smooth continuation and link to the 1st installment of the franchise.

Kari is famous for directing the popular Marvel series ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’ for Disney+. She was also the executive producer for the show. She has also previously directed Russell Crowe’s ‘The Loudest Voice’ and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ for Hulu.

Kari Skogland will next be directing ‘Cleopatra’ starring Gal Gadot and ‘Dallas Sting’ starring Matthew McConaughey. She has a very ambitious lineup of movies and fans are excited about each one of them.
