There is finally some update for Kajol‘s much awaited web series debut. The official trailer for the show, ‘The Trial: Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha’ will be out on the 12th of June. The release date and other details will be revealed later on.
There is excitement among fans as it was the first OTT project that Kajol signed in. Soon the actress will be seen in the sequel to Netflix’s ‘Lust Stories’. ‘The Trial’ is the official remake of the American show ‘The Good Wife’. At first the title of the show was ‘The Good Wife: Pyaar, Kapoor, Dhokha’ but it was changed later on.
Juliana Margulies played the role of Alicia Florrick, the protagonist, in the original series. Kajol is said to have been preparing for the role with lawyers; she is hopefully going to do a great job reprising the role. Indian audiences like her acting and Indian audiences like courtroom dramas. The Trial has high chances of success here. It is being produced by Banijay Asia.
Suparn Verma has written the screenplay and also directed the show. He has already shown his genius in the screenplay of shows like ‘The Family Man’. ‘The Trial’ surely is going to be another wonderful show from him. Other actors like Sheeba Chaddha, Jisshu Sengupta, Kubra Sait, Aseem Hattangady, Alyy Khan will also be seen in the show. Jisshu Sengupta will probably be seen as the husband of Kajol.
The trailer will be released this Monday and fans are waiting eagerly for it. Soon the release date will be out too.
