The Wild Robot, Dreamworks Latest Masterpiece

The Wild Robot, Dreamworks Latest Masterpiece.

The dreamworks project of the year is here. With a score of 100% on rotten tomatoes and an average rating of 8.3/10 on metacritic The Wild Robot is making space in everyone’s hearts as we speak. The movie follows a robot, “ROZZUM unit 7134,” AKA Roz. As the robot finds itself stranded on an island, she looks for a purpose for herself. She makes herself at home when she finds a gosling, which she starts to co-parent alongside Fink, a fox.

The movie creators took a lot of inspiration from the works of directors like Hayao Miyazaki and the old era of Disney animated projects. And it shows. Ever since its opening on September 8 at the Toronto Film Festival, the movie has been gathering nothing but respect.

The movie is part of a long-term deal between Universal and Netflix. It was scheduled to be released for public on 20 September; however, the competition posed by Transformers: One demanded adjustments in the release date and will now hit the theaters on 27 September.

With a talented voice cast, soft design elements and a beautiful score to go along with it, The Wild Robot is definitely one of the best projects to be ever brought to the table by Dreamworks. The emotional journey of Roz and her baby Brightbill makes the heart melt. The movie will be released on Peacock for the first four months and then will be moved to Netflix.
