Amidst speculations regarding the release of espionage thriller ‘Bell Bottom’, finally, there is fantastic news for fans of Akshay Kumar and those who have been waiting with bated breath for the release details for the upcoming film ‘Bell Bottom’.
Earlier today, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce that the film is releasing on July 27, 2021, in cinemas worldwide.
His Twitter post was marked with the words: “I know you have patiently waited for #Bellbottom! Couldn’t be happier to finally announce the release of our film. Arriving across big screens worldwide #BellBottomOn27July”
Concurrently, Vashu Bhagnani’s company Pooja Entertainment also announced the film’s release date through a separate post. The post stated in a dramatic style that “Kursi ki peti bandh lijiye kyuki aa raha hai #Bellbottom. Thrilled to announce our arrival in cinemas worldwide! #BellBottomOn27July”.
Alongside the release date announcement, there was a crisp thirteen-second video showing a dapper Akshay Kumar walking in an airport, donning stylish bell-bottoms and carrying a briefcase. The background eventually revealed the film’s release date (July 27).
The retro-themed spy thriller movie ‘Bell Bottom’ will reportedly portray Akshay Kumar in the role of a RAW agent working on a mystery during the1980s. The film has been shot in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also features Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, and Lara Dutta , amongst others.
‘Bell Bottom’ has been directed by Ranjit Tewari, whose previous directorial venture was the Farhan Akhtar starrer prison drama ‘Lucknow Central’.
Interestingly, ‘Bell Bottom’ was ostensibly the first film to commence and complete its filming schedule during the Covid-19 pandemic period. The movie is said to have a runtime of 130 minutes.
Amidst a spate of several Indian movies and web series such as ‘The Family Man’, ‘Special OPS’, ‘Bard of Blood’ and ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, etc, it would be interesting to see what the much-anticipated film ‘Bell Bottom’ has in store for us.
