These Actors Deserve To Play ‘The Flash’ In James Gunn’s DCU

Several reports have claimed that the entire DCEU’s Justice League cast won’t reprise their respective characters in James Gunn’s DCU. Although, some of them may get a chance to play new characters in Gunn’s new DC universe. Jason Momoa is in talks to play Lobo in the DCU. Though, we have no official confirmation about this scenario yet. As for Flash, Ezra Miller is reportedly out of the picture as well. Given the actor’s ongoing legal and personal life struggles, it will be best for Warner Bros Discovery and DC Studios to maintain a safe distance from him.

Miller’s The Flash turned out to be one of the biggest box office bombs in the history of both DC and WB. The Andy Muschietti directional managed to collect only $270 million globally against a massive production budget of $220 million.

Who will play The Scarlet Speedster in DCU? Here are our top choices!

Dylan O’Brien

Dylan O’Brien looks like a perfect fit for playing Barry Allen. His acting abilities are impressive, and he is athletic, too. In addition, he knows how to lead an action franchise, which he did for The Maze Runner film series. The actor has plenty of dramatic and comedic chops. Plus, he can mesmerise a large group of audience. Apart from The Maze Runner, he is best known for his work in Deepwater Horizon, American Assassin, and Love and Monsters.

Lucas Till

Lucas Till is another prominent name associated with the fan-casting procedure for The Flash. He looks pretty similar to the comic book Barry Allen. Plus, he has experience of dealing with superhero movies, thanks to Fox’s X-Men franchise. Till possesses great dramatic skills and comedic timing. He is also charismatic and looks quite comfortable in action sequences.

Logan Lerman

Logan Lerman would be excellent as Barry Allen’s Flash. The actor rose to prominence after playing Percy Jackson in The Lightening Thief and Sea of Monsters. Percy is known for being brave and loyal. Additionally, he never hesitates in doing the right thing. All these qualities are also found in Barry Allen. Lerman could exhibit all these qualities while portraying The Scarlet Speedster for Gunn’s DCU.

Jack Quaid

Wait! Hughie from The Boys? Yes, Hughie does not have any superpowers and is not bulky or muscular like Mother’s Milk and Billy Butcher. But he has a great heart. Jack Quaid successfully brings out the character’s intelligence, charm, shyness, and vibrance in The Boys. And he can do the same while playing The Flash. Stay tuned for more updates.
