This ‘Aarya’ Actor Is All Set for His Hollywood Release

By Binged Bureau - Jul 11, 2020 @ 03:07 pm

Ankur-Bhatia-Gears-up-for-His-Hollywood-FilmWith his stunning performance as ‘Sangram’ in Disney+Hotstar series ‘Aarya‘, Ankur Bhatia impressed a lot of viewers. The actor is now preparing for the release of his Hollywood film ‘The Scrapper’ directed by Bari Kang and produced by Steven Lee. He shot for the film last year but it was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film also stars Law & Order fame actor Allison Thomas Lee.

The actor updated about the film’s current status saying, “The shoot [of the film] was wrapped up in December and 30 per cent of the post production is pending. It is an edge-of-the-seat thriller.” The Scrapper is set in the backdrop of Punjab, and also features Samrat Chakrabarti and Anil Kumar. Bari Kang, the film’s director, will also be seen acting in the film.

The story of the film follows Jake, an ex-con turned scrapper who is uncomfortable in his Punjabi-American skin. He carries the burden of both his family legacy and a violent past. He’ll find himself thrown into the middle of a conflict between Punjabi and Mexican factions led by violent, ruthless figures. As events explode into brutal violence, with everyone he loves, including his newfound family at stake, he may need to go to his own darkest places one more time to finally escape.

Ankur Bhatia made his acting debut in 2010 in Payal Sethi’s Grant St. Shaving Co which was produced by Mira Nair. He was also seen in films like Zanjeer (2013), Sarbjit (2016) and Haseena Parker (2017).
