Since the day it released, Jana Gana Mana was rocking the Netflix Top 10 trending list. Not only did the film make it Most watched Indian title in many of the West Asian countries, it also has been continuously trending on Netflix India even in Telugu language. A huge feat indeed. But there’s a twist! An American film just overtook ‘Jana Gana Mana’ on Top 10 just today.
The film in question is, Adam Sandler‘s ‘Hustle’. The film has been quietly making it’s way into Top 10 Netflix and now it is ranked above Jana Gana Mana. While Australian-American production ‘Interceptor’ pushed RRR to third position, Hustle moved Jana Gana Mana from fourth position and pushed it to Fifth swiftly.
‘Hustle‘ is a comedy sports drama that centres around Stanley Sugarman, a down-on-his-luck basketball scout in search for new talent who discovers an extraordinary player Bo Cruz from Spain and his struggle in bringing the new recruit back to his team without the team’s approval.
Hustle is directed by Jeremiah Zagar whose screenplay is written by Taylor Materne and Will Fetters. The film stars Adam Sandler as the NBA scout who discovers a solid talented player in Spain,aka Juancho Hernangómez and tries to coach him. The film also stars Queen Latifah, Ben Foster and Robert Duvall in key roles. ‘Hustle’ had a brief theatrical release on June 3rd and released on Netflix worldwide on 8th June.
