This Audacious Horror Drama On Prime Video Is Terrifying To The Core

If you watched ‘Khauf’ recently on Prime Video and are looking for more horror stuff this weekend then you should definitely watch this award winning body horror film that is also on Prime Video.

We are talking about ‘The Substance’, a film penned and helmed by Coralie Fargeat. It follows a fading celebrity Elisabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore) who takes a black market drug, basically a cell replicating substance to creat a younger (Margaret Qualley) better version of herself after her chauvinist producer (Dennis Quaid) fires her due to her age. But little did she know that it was all about to go terribly wrong.

‘The Substance’ has been praised for being audaciously gross, and wickedly clever with Demi Moore delivering one of her finest big screen performance. The gasp inducing film has been noted for its satirical elements alongside the grotesque, hyper realistic imagery.

The way ‘The Substance’ explores human fragility is just chilling to the core. The ghosts in the film are one’s own unchecked ambitions and the advancement of science to a level that makes the characters question their morals and consequences. It’s one of those films that will stay with you long after the credits roll making you rethink about your limits and that exaggerated pride or self confidence.

‘The Substance’ is currently streaming on Prime Video and is must watch masterpiece in the horror genre.
