This Brilliant Actor Returns To Television For A New Edgy Crime Drama!

Finally! After 7 years Bryan Cranston returns to play the lead in a crime drama series. The 10 episode mini-series will be Cranston’s first major lead role in television since the phenomenon known as “Breaking Bad” ended back in 2013. This legal thriller by Showtime is supposed to knock our socks off; or at least the trailer which was released recently, has taken our expectations through the roof.

The show titled “Your Honor” is adapted from the Israeli TV series “Kvodo” which was created by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach. The series follows a respected New Orleans judge Micheal Desiato (portrayed by Cranston), whose son Adam gets involved in a hit-and-run accident. Like most fathers, Micheal tries to save his son by covering up his son’s crime, but the situation takes an unexpected turn when he finds out Adam had accidentally killed the son of Jimmy Baxter (portrayed by Micheal Stuhlbarg), a vicious head of a crime family. This cat and mouse game between Cranston and Stuhlbarg’s characters will be the integral narrative of the show.

The series has a stellar supporting cast in Hunter Doohan, Carmen Ejogo, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Sofia Black-D’Elia, Amy Landecker, Margo Martindale, Lorraine Toussaint, Chet Hanks, Lamar Johnson, and Lilli Kay. BAFTA winner Peter Moffat joins the series as the show runner while the duo Robert and Michelle King & BAFTA winning director Edward Berger (who helmed the first three episodes) will be the executive producers.

Your Honor” will begin its limited run on Showtime starting this December. It is expected to be available on www.sho.com, but a lot of shows which appear on Showtime has come out on Disney+Hotstar (Billions, Ray Donovan, the Affair, etc.), so we are expecting this series to come out for the Indian audience here as well.
