Tanmay Bhat, one of the key founding members of the digital channel AIB that had a voice of its own, is reportedly suffering from clinical depression, and has expressed a worry that he might never return to his forte, i.e. comedy, anytime soon. Taking to Instagram, the writer, standup comedian wondered if he could operate to his full potential ever again.
Many have written to him asking him to move on, rebuild, but Tanmay has revealed that he is not able to accept the fact that the empire he had built through his adult life had to suddenly come crashing down. For the uninitiated, AIB had closed down its operations following a public outrage, with regard to a complaint filed by one of its employees about her colleague’s sexual advances.
Meanwhile, Tanmay who was a part of the judge panel for Comicistaan season one has opted out of its second installment. One wonders what could be his next career move after this harrowing phase.
