Jonathan Entwistle, the director of ‘The End Of The F****ing World’ is coming with a new show soon. It will be a historical drama and ‘Peaky Blinders’ producer Caryn Mandabach Productions will be producing it.
The show has been titled ‘Civil Blood’. The screenplay is written by Cat Clarke and Michael Hirst. It is not an adaptation of any novel but follows an original story. ‘Civil Blood’ will be about a young girl in war-torn England who goes through many conflicts and makes some major decisions in her life. Her life reflects the then society of her nation and vice versa.
Michael Hirst has previously worked on the scripts of Vikings, Billy the Kid, Elizabeth and more. And we can see why he is a very good choice to write a historical show. His partner Cat Clarke has written shows like Good Omens and Ten Percent.
Jonathan Erstwhile, the director, has said, “This script has history, heart, family and war – all wrapped up in a punk attitude. This is a period of history not often explored, and certainly not from this point of view. There’s a sense of the American western in this world.” Fans are indeed excited to see what he has to offer this time. ‘The End Of The F****ing World’ was a beautiful show and hopefully Jonathan will make a major hit this time too. He is presently working on the new Karate Kid Movie.
