This Heartwarming Netflix Sitcom Must Be On Your Watchlist

Netflix boasts a wide variety of sitcoms like ‘Friends’, ‘Big Bang Theory’, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, ‘Schitt’s Creek’, ‘The Good Place’, ‘Rick and Morty’, ‘Two and a Half Men’, ‘The IT Crowd’, ‘Grace and Frankie’, ‘Unbreakabel King Schmidt’, ‘Superstore’ and many more. While we love to rewatch almost all of them we often look for something different as well. Don’t worry we have you sorted!

A family sitcom ‘Kim’s Convenience’ is the one that ticks all the boxes and you are not gonna regret watching it. In this show Korean-Canadian Kim family runs a convenience store in Toronto and deals with customers, each other and the evolving world around them. There’s Appa (‘Paul Sun-Hyung Lee), Umma (Jean Yoon) and their two kids, daughter Janet (Andrea Bang) and estranged son Jung (Somu Liu).

Based on Ins Choi’s play of the same name, ‘Kim’s Convenience’ does not get into the pseudo seriousness about immigrants and family dynamics but does not ignore them either, instead very cleverly lets comedy take center stage. The show is funny, heartwarming and quirky. Special mention for all the cast members who make their way into your hearts and a create a space of their own.

If sitcoms are your thing then you cannot miss out on ‘Kim’s Convenience’. Do catch it on Netflix!
