‘Nyad’ is a biographical sports drama movie which narrates the incredible true story of a sixty-year-old woman athlete Dyana Nyad (played by Golden Globes winner Annette Bening), who attempts to fulfil her dream of accomplishing a virtually impossible 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida. And her best friend and coach helps her to achieve the feat and that too without the protection of a shark cage. The movie also features Oscar winner Jodie Foster (Silence of the Lambs), and Rhys Ifans in major roles.
‘Nyad’ has received positive feedback from many critics. The film is ‘Certified Fresh’ and has got a critics’ score of 86% on the authoritative reviews’ aggregation portal Rotten Tomatoes. And on IMDb, the movie has received a user rating of 7.1/10.
