‘Burning’ is directed by filmmaker Lee Chang-dong and has actors like Yoo Ah-in, Steven Yeun and Jeon Jong-seo as the leads. The movie is based on the story ‘Barn Burning’ by famous novelist Haruki Murakami. The film was nominated for many awards and was screened in various film festivals. Lee Sung-Hyun also known as Mowg, has given some wonderful music in the film and the phenomenal cinematography is handled by Hong Kyung-pyo. The screenplay of the film is written by Oh Jung-mi and Lee Chang-dong. ‘Burning’ had its theatrical release on the 17th of May in 2018.
The movie tells the story of a delivery person who suddenly runs into a very old female friend who used to live in his neighborhood. She requests him to look after his cat during her trip to Africa. She comes back from Africa with a very attractive young man. That man reveals a very weird secret hobby of himself and Jong-Su, the deliveryman feels like his friend is in grave danger.
