Whatever the world may say, Netflix dominates the streaming world with their content and it is pretty evident in the way things show up in the charts of almost every ranking website.
Shogun, the mammoth epic series on Hulu, is winning big on the streaming charts. It’s been on top for over 20 days straight, beating out popular shows like Love is Blind on Netflix. Shogun is set in ancient Japan and tells a story of samurai and political drama. People love it because of its interesting characters and exciting plot.
Even though big shows like Love is Blind are competing, Shogun is staying strong. It clearly means that Shogun has filled a void that the audience has been rooting for a long time. They were bored with the usual crap on OTT and then Shogun arrived.
The success of Shogun might mean we’ll see more similar shows in the future. Even though making Shogun was tough, there’s potential for more stories from the same author.
Interestingly, Netflix or any other platform is nowhere near competing Shogūn and it looks like this streak of greatness will continue.
