If you a have thing for solving cases, not the criminal ones but rather medical and scientific ones, then ‘House’ is the show for you. Currently streaming on both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, ‘House’ is just exquisite.
‘House’ aka ‘House M.D.’ follows Dr. Gregory House and his team as they solve a plethora of complex, almost undiagnosable mysterious cases and save people’s lives. The main character Dr. House is a genius but is also unconventional and misanthropic in style and attitude.
Dependent on pain medication for his legs, Dr. House leads his own diagnostic team and often has clashes with them and other doctors because his hypotheses about patients’ illnesses are based on subtle or controversial insights. He has no regards for any hospital rules and procedures, and often ends up having conflicts with his boss Dr. Lisa Cuddy and best friend Dr. James Wilson, meanwhile they always try and protect him.
‘House’ is a very well written and executed show, with each character having its own unique arc. The show is well paced keeping you on the hook every time. The cases are unique and along with solving cases the characters deal with personal issues as well making it more relatable. Flaws are owned and not given much privilege.
Created and show run by David Shore, ‘House’ has received many accolades, including five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, a Peabody Award and nine People’s Choice Awards.
