Directed by Hernán Jiménez (Elsewhere, About Us) Love Hard follows the story of a girl, played by Dobrev, from Los Angeles who falls in love with a guy (Melton) from East Coast on a dating app. She tries to surprise him over Christmas but it turns out to be a surprise rather shock for her when she finds out that she had been catfished. But the object of her affection actually lives in the same town, and the guy (Jimmy) who duped her offers to set them up IF she pretends to be his own girlfriend for the holidays.
The film that has been written by Danny Mackerel and literary agent-turned screenwriter Rebecca Ewing. Love Hard is being jointly produced by Wonderland’s McG and Mary Viola. Steven Bell will be the executive producer.
No further details regarding the release date has been revealed by Netflix yet. The star cast for ‘Love Hard’ looks promising, the only question that remains is, will it be boring cliché rom-com or pleasant delight for a change?
