More often than not, Netflix‘s foreign language movies and series strike a chord with global viewers. One such foreign language series on Netflix that has caught the fancy of viewers is Austrian series, ‘Woman Of The Dead’.
‘Woman Of The Dead‘ premiered on Netflix at the beginning of the new year, on 5th January, 2023. Almost instantly, the show shot up the Netflix Top Ten, and was trending on the top ten lists of most countries. Woman Of The Dead is a revenge thriller that centres on a woman who, in her quest to get answers, goes on a killing spree to avenge the death of her husband. The official Netflix synopsis of ‘Woman Of The Dead’ reads, “On a vengeful quest to find out who killed her husband, a woman ends up exposing her small community’s deepest and ugliest secrets.” The series is based on Bernhard Aichner’s novel of the same name. Woman Of The Dead is part of a trilogy of novels, hence we can expect a Season 2 of the series.
