Animated films that make for a good family watch are always everyone’s favourite. The recommendation we have here today for you is one such film on Netflix that also got nominated for the Best Animated Feature at the 95th Academy Awards.
We are talking about Chris Williams’ ‘The Sea Beast’, who also wrote the screenplay with Nell Benjamin and produced with Jed Schlanger. The film premiered last year on Netflix and became the most-successful Netflix original animated film, with 165 million hours viewed over its first five months of release.
In ‘The Sea Beast’ Monster hunter Jacob Holland (Karl Urban) sails the seas in search of the fearsome sea creature known as the Red Bluster, whose defeat will bring him a great reward. But a young stowaway on his ship named Maisie (Zaris-Angel Hator) changes everything, including whether Jacob thinks the monster is so monstrous after all.
It is one stunningly gorgeous and breathtaking movie with some incredible and loveable creatures. ‘The Sea Beast’ offers an amazing visual experience and sends the viewers on a voyage well worth taking. The success of the film is such that a sequel is already in development at Netflix.
