Besides ‘The Diplomat’, the next four top titles on Nielsen have also been secured by the streaming platform Netflix. These are ‘Firefly Lane’ (1.1 billion minutes), ‘Better Call Saul’ (968 million minutes), ‘Sweet Tooth’ (924 million minutes), and Cocomelon (804 million minutes).
Moreover, Apple TV Plus’s critically acclaimed sports comedy drama series ‘Ted Lasso’ has not just retained its place on the Nielsen streaming top ten list, but the show has attained its highest weekly viewership on Nielsen with 795 million minutes of viewing under its belt and has secured the sixth place on the coveted list.
It is interesting to note that on the latest Nielsen top ten streaming list, a whopping number of eight out of ten titles are streaming on the Netflix OTT platform. While the other titles are streaming on the Paramount+, Apple TV+, and Disney+ streaming services.
And now, coming back to the topmost title on the Nielsen top ten list – the Netflix series ‘The Diplomat’, it features Keri Russel as Kate Wyler, the US Ambassador to the UK who must balance her high-profile and extremely sensitive job with her marriage with a political diplomat Hal (Rufus Sewell).
