Psychological thriller ‘The Wonder’ is now streaming on Netflix. The movie is 1 hour 43 minutes long and it stars actors like Florence Pugh, Tom Burke, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Nilamh Algar and many others.
‘The Wonder’ is directed by Academy Award winning director Sebastian Lélio. So there is a lot to expect from the movie. ‘The Wonder’ premiered on 2nd September this year in the Telluride Film Festival and there was a limited theatrical release for the movie on the 2nd of November.
The Wonder Is adapted from the 2016 novel of the same name by Emma Donoghue. Emma has also written the screenplay of the film. The psychological thriller will tell the story of the victory of love over evil.
The story is based in 1862, Ireland. It follows a young English nurse Lib Wright who goes to a very rural village. She is tasked with looking after a sick girl who has not eaten for months. Sebastian Lélio has directed movies like ‘A Fantastic Woman’, ‘Gloria’, ‘Disobedience’, ‘The Sacred Family’ and many more. He is a well known name in the industry for making absolutely beautiful films. Florence Pugh was last seen with Harry Styles in ‘Don’t Worry Darling’. She will next be seen in the very anticipated movie ‘Oppenheimer’ and ‘Dune: Chapter 2’ which are slated for release in 2023.
