Actress Surveen Chawla, who had impressed one and all with her edgy portrayal as a pimp in the second season of Sacred Games, feels exciting things are happening in the digital space and the film industry in comparison to television.
The former television actor gave up a career in the small-screen to try her luck in films and has tasted reasonable success in the process. Talking about Sacred Games in an interview, she had said, “It was initially tough to strike a chord with audiences about her relationship with Gaitonde merely through phone calls. But the sensitivity of the relationship came through eventually and was liked by audiences.”
The series was the actress’ third outing with Anurag Kashyap after a couple of films and she conveys about being pampered on its sets. She has high words of praise for her co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, whom she initially had imagined to be intimidating.
When she was asked if she would ever return to television, she had answered, “Not much new is happening on television. There’s something cool about web-series and film industry these days but I don’t think I’ll go back to it ever again.”
