The second season of the French high-school supernatural series, ‘Mortel‘ is finally coming on the first week of July 2021. The trailer for this much anticipated TV series dropped hours ago on Netflix’s official YouTube channel, but that hasn’t been the biggest news yet. Sami Outalbali, who plays Reda, brother of Sofiane returns to the show. If you guys don’t know who Sami is, then here is a reminder – Sami portrays the “head-turning” Raheem in the British coming of age web series, ‘Sex Education’.
Sami Outalbali is a French actor and a good one at that. His aforementioned role of Raheem in ‘Sex Education’ was known to literally turn heads as he walks past, but that has less to do with his acting ability and more to do with his physical appearance. But Sami being French, has roots in acting in the French film industry so it shouldn’t come as a surprise when we see him in a few French projects, case in point, this one (‘Mortel’).
In this TV series, however, the actor was not part of the main cast, shown in the entirety of the first season as his character, Reda, was missing from the beginning of the web series. However at the end of the first season, we see a brilliant cliffhanger, where Reda is seen standing outside his house, in front of his brother. The trailer however indicated that his brother, Sofiane, isn’t happy to see him as Reda has started to take over people at their high school. The entire trailer is a lot more vague than it appears, but it is still a thrilling watch. Check it out at the end of this article.
