Renowned film producer Firoz Nadaidwala’s upcoming web series will be related to the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He will be making a web series as well as a feature film based on the life of a legendary spy and founder of India’s external intelligence agency RAW, Rameshwar Nath Kao. The film will be made simultaneously with same cast and crew.
“We have been working on this project for five years. It’s a story that deserves to be shared and known by everyone, hence we are making it first as a web-series with 20 episodes being planned at the moment. We are in talks with two major streaming platforms for it,” said Nadiadwala while talking about his project. “This is first of its kind of a project and hence it has taken a lot of time not just in research but also on planning and execution. We have Nana Patekar playing Mr Kao. We are in talks with other actors. An announcement regarding the cast and crew of the series will be made soon,” he added.
The story will show all true events including how Mr Kao was the head of Intelligence Bureau and then was appointed as the chief of RAW by former prime ministers, Indira Gandhi ji and Jawaharlal Nehru ji. This real life story will also depict how missions were executed in India and abroad by RAW to protect our national security.
Not only Firoz Nadiadwala but also filmmaker Karan Johar and producer Sunil Bohra have expressed their desires to make a movie or web series based on the life of this spymaster. However, commenting on this news, Nadiadwala said that it does not bother him and he wishes the other two good luck. He has been working on this project for long and his team is in an advanced stage of commencing work. Firoz will produce this web series with all his heart, leaving no stone unturned!
The shooting is likely to begin by November this year. “We will be shooting with utmost care. Safety and security of our cast and crew is crucial to us. We will have PPE kits and other necessary equipment in place as and when we begin shoot,” said the producer.
