This Sundance Winning Horror Film is Now Streaming on Prime Video

In case you are a diehard fan of the horror films genre and are interested in watching a critically acclaimed horror film, then you have come to the right place. Because this weekend, we give you a recently released psychological horror movie titled ‘Nanny’, which is now streaming on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform.

Helmed by Nikyatu Jusu in her feature film directorial debut, the horror movie ‘Nanny’ follows the story of an undocumented immigrant from Senegal named Aisha (played by Anna Diop), who gets the job of a nanny in an affluent family in New York City. Aisha also wants her son, who lives in West Africa, to come and settle in the United States. However, Aisha must deal with a hidden truth after an unanticipated and violent presence threatens to crush her dreams.

Before ‘Nanny’ started streaming on Amazon Prime Video, it had its world premiere at the 2022 edition of the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. And the film bagged the Grand Jury Prize under the ‘US Dramatic Competition’ category. It was the first ever horror movie to achieve this feat at Sundance.

On the reviews aggregation portal Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Nanny’ is ‘Certified Fresh’ and has garnered an impressive critics’ score of 88%. Moreover, on another reviews’ aggregation website Metacritic, ‘Nanny’ has received a metascore of 72/100, indicating generally favourable reviews.
