‘Cobra Kai‘ is a mixture of martial arts and comedy drama which first released in 2018. It continued with season two on YouTube Premium. Now, Netflix has decided to give this show a new life!
Netflix has announced to make this show available for a bigger audience by premiering it on their platform on 28th August, 2020. Since the second season ends with a cliffhanger, it is obvious that there will definitely be a third season. Season three will also premiere on Netflix at a later date. ‘Cobra Kai’ is a sequel to 1984 classic ‘The Karate Kid’ and its two direct sequels. It has been nominated for two Emmys in the past, for its fantastic stunt choreography and coordination. Season one was appreciated more than the second and yet audience cannot wait for its third season.
This new Netflix project, with two seasons, includes twenty episodes and stars – Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Xolo Mariduena, Courtney Henggeler, Mary, Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand amongst others. It is created by Jon Hurtwiz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald. “The appeal of ‘The Karate Kid’ saga is timeless, and Cobra Kai picks up right where it left off without missing a beat. The rivalry between Daniel and Johnny is one for the ages, and the show has a ton of heart and is a lot of fun. We can’t wait to introduce a new generation of fans to Cobra Kai and are thrilled to be its new home around the world,” Brian Wright, Netflix Vice President, said in a statement.
