In the film Nic is a drug addict and while he himself suffers a lot from it, his parents, specially his father, support and stand by him consistently and are there with him though out his dark journey and eventually make him come out of it.
Starring Steve Carell, Timothée Chalamet, Maura Tierney and Amy Ryan in prominent roles, ‘Beautiful Boy’ in a very amazing manner deals with a father-son relationship increasingly strained by the latter’s drug addiction. Chalamet received a lot of praise for his role in the film and even received nominations at the Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards among others.
