Pan-India star Prabhas most recently made news with the announcement of his new project, ‘Spirit’, that marks his career’s 25th venture. Directed by ‘Kabir Singh‘ director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie will be jointly produced by T-series and Bhadrakali Pictures. The film will be released in eight different languages. Apart from five Indian languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam- the film will also be released in Japanese, Chinese and Korean. With the inclusion of these Asian languages, the film will now reach a much wider audience. The latest buzz however, is that Bollywood queen Kareena Kapoor Khan has been approached to play his leading lady in ‘Spirit’.
While the news of Kareena joining the cast of ‘Spirit’ is yet to be confirmed, this new collaboration is fast becoming the talk of the town. Bringing in the Bollywood star will only help the film touch new heights. Meanwhile, there is also some buzz circulating that actor Prabhas has quoted a massive sum for ‘Spirit’, that’s rumoured to be a whopping 150 crores! Did you know that the ‘Saaho’ star wasn’t the first choice for the lead role? Apparently, actors Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun were initially approached for the part and Prabhas was finalized after the other celebs declined the role.
It is noteworthy to mention however, that very few southern stars have seen as much popularity as actor Prabhas in India and overseas. The actor may now be credited for starting a new revolution of sorts with his films achieving blockbuster status. From Pan-Indian to Pan-Asian star, Prabhas is reaching for the sky and beyond. It’s only a matter of time before the newly crowned Pan-Asian star becomes a Global Icon.
