This Underrated Pixar Animated Flick On Disney+ Deserves More Respect

Onward revolves around two Elf brothers, Barley and Ian Lightfoot (Chris Pratt and Tom Holland), who find themselves on a mission to discover an artifact that may bring back their deceased father, Wilden (Kyle Bornheimer), for 24 hours. On their journey, the brotherly duo face dangerous obstacles and discover unimaginable things. Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays Barley and Ian’s widowed mother, Laurel Lightfoot.

Onward’s best feature is its emotional depth. It explores several themes, such as personal growth, loss of loved ones, and family drama. Additionally, Pratt and Holland give more emotional depth to their respective characters. Also, Onward has mesmerising visuals, which we should expect from a Pixar project. Yes, many feel like it failed to reach the heights of other Pixar classics. Overall, the film is entertaining and a worthy addition to Pixar’s filmography.
