This coming Thursday and Friday OTT platforms are going to be swarmed up with some highly awaited Indian titles alongside some new ones, keeping the audience extremely busy for the weekend and ahead.
First up we have part two of the third season of ‘Ek Badnaam Aashram’ by Prakash Jha coming to Amazon MX Player on 27th February (in fact it will out tonight at 10 PM itself instead of the previously announced aforementioned date).
The show brought Bobby Deol back on the map and we all know what happened after that. Returning as Baba Nirala once again, he will face betrayals this time but he ain’t that naive and is in full control of the empire he built.
There’s also Prime Video’s new original series ‘Ziddi Girls’ coming from the makers of ‘Four More Shots Please!’ on the same day. Although this one doesn’t look promising at all and going by the promotions for the show looks like even Prime Video knows how this one is going to turn out.
The real war begins on Friday, 28th February when we have two much anticipated big shows coming up alongside a Malayalam romcom and another Hindi film.
First up is ‘Dabba Cartel’ on Netflix, a series that is a dramatic tale of five everyday middle-class women reluctantly starting a drub cartel that ends up colliding with a massive pharma scandal that is under investigation.
The show’s ensemble cats includes Shabana Azmi, Gajraj Rao, Jyotika, Nimisha Sajayan, Shalini Pandey, Anjali Anand, and Sai Tamahankar, Jisshu Sengupta, Lillete Dubey and Bhupendra Singh Jadawat. ‘Dabba Cartel’ comes from the house of Excel Entertainment that has given us shows and films like ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Inside Edge’, ‘Made In Heaven’, ‘Gully Boy’, ‘Madgaon Express’ and many more.
Then there’s acclaimed filmmaker duo Pushkar and Gayatri’s ‘Suzhal – The Vortex’ season 2 on Prime Video. The first season was a blockbuster hit that won massive critical and public acclaim. With season two continuing the story, the excitement couldn’t be more.
This time as well the makers weave in mystery and thrill with the local community and their traditions, beliefs, and customs while keeping it global in appeal.
Lastly we have a Malayalam language romantic comedy series ‘Love Under Comstruction’ coming up on Jio Hotstar. Starring Aju Varghese, Gouri Kishan, Neeraj Madhav, and Anand Manmadhan, the show follows the story of Vinod who is ready to buold his dream house but is he ready to face the hurdles in his path?
There’s also Jio Studios’ ‘Dil Dosti Aur Dogs’ on Jio Hotstar, a film that has four different stories of based on the themes of love, healing and second chances with dogs playing an important role in it all. Then again this one has hardly any buzz.
So which one will you be watching first?
