This Week’s Top Foreign OTT Releases: Air, Triangle of Sadness Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’, ‘Sanctuary’, and ‘Silo’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated foreign OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Missing: Dead or Alive? (Streaming on Netflix from 10th May)

The investigative documentary series focuses on how officers from the South Caroline’s sheriff department pursue time sensitive missing person cases by way of analysing circumstance around the disappearances, executing search and rescue operations, and their efforts to track the culprits.

Queen Cleopatra (Streaming on Netflix from 10th May)

Backed by Emmy winner Jada Pinkett Smith, the docudrama series focuses on a highly intelligent and powerful but misunderstood woman – Queen Cleopatra of Egypt.

The Muppets Mayhem (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 10th May)

The series follows a music entrepreneur Nora’s effort to help the Electric Mayhem rock band record their first ever platinum album in the contemporary world of music.

Royalteen: Princess Margrethe (Streaming on Netflix from 11th May)

The ‘Royalteen’ sequel movie follows the life of the titular Norwegian princess (played by Elli Müller Osborne), who is looking for normalcy and trying to find love following the dramatic events which happened in last year’s prom.

Air (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 12th May)

Directed by Ben Affleck, the sports drama movie revolves around how a Nike employee Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) tries to convince the esteemed company’s top brass that they should bring in the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan as the new spokesperson.

Triangle of Sadness (Streaming on SonyLIV from 12th May)

The dark comedy movie follows the story of a celebrity fashion model couple Carl and Yaya (played by Harris Dickinson and Charlbi Dean), who are invited to be a part of a luxury cruise for the super-rich led by an alcoholic captain (Woody Harrelson). But the goings-on take a drastic turn when they end up getting stranded on an island.

The Mother (Streaming on Netflix from 12th May)

The action flick features Jennifer Lopez as the titular protagonist – a mother and a highly trained former assassin, who comes back to save her daughter from dangerous criminals vying for revenge.

City On Fire (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 12th May)

The crime drama series revolves around the mysterious murder of an NYU student on the Fourth of July in the year 2003. The subsequent investigation begins to reveal its connection with citywide fires, downtown music scene and a secretive and affluent real estate family.

Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 12th May)

The documentary film is based on the life of Hollywood actor Michael J. Fox, who is globally known for his role in the ‘Back to the Future’ movies. It would showcase a never-seen-before extraordinary story of the beloved star and what happened when he had to confront an incurable disease.
