This Week’s Top Foreign OTT Releases: Blonde, Goodnight Mommy Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’, ‘Cobra Kai Season-5’, ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return’, ‘Pinocchio’, and ‘Narco Saints’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up for release. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms from this week.

Emmys 2022 (Streaming on Lionsgate Play from 13th September)

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards will honour the best of the best from the television industry for shows which were released on various networks and OTT platforms from the period of 1st June 2021 to 31st May 2022. For the full list of winners, check out our Binged website.

Heartbreak High (Streaming on Netflix from 14th September)

The eight-part teen drama series is a reboot of the popular 90s Australian show and focuses on a group of diverse high schoolers dealing with their school lives and relationships at Hartley High.

The Lorenskog Disappearance (Streaming on Netflix from 14th September)

Based on true events and directed by Fredrik Horn Akselsen, the Norwegian thriller series revolves around the mysterious disappearance of the wife of an affluent man. Now, the cops must race against time to catch the culprit by dealing with an uncontrolled press and untrustworthy informants.

Blonde (Streaming on Netflix from 16th September)

‘Blonde’ is a fictionalized account of the iconic Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe and is based on the bestselling book of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates. The film features Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas in the lead role and reimagines the life story of the star, how she rose to fame and at what cost.

Goodnight Mommy (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 16th September)

The mystery thriller follows the story of twin brothers Elias and Lucas (played by Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti), who reach their mother’s (Naomi Watts) home and find out that she has hidden her face with bandages. The reason given by her is cosmetic surgery. But her strange behaviour leads them to believe that the woman might not be their mother.

Do Revenge (Streaming on Netflix from 16th September)

The dark comedy movie revolves around two high school students Drea (Camila Mendes) and Eleanor (Maya Hawke), who strike an unlikely friendship and decide to take revenge from each other’s bullies.

Santo (Streaming on Netflix from 16th September)

The Spanish crime thriller series is about two disparate cops Millan and Cardona, who must set aside their differences and team up to catch an elusive and most wanted drug dealer, whose face has not been revealed.
