Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’, ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’, ‘TAR’, ‘Ghosted’, ‘The Diplomat’, and ‘Dead Ringers’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated foreign OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey (Streaming on Netflix from 25th April)
The Netflix special focuses on the former First Lady Michelle Obama’s valuable insights into life lessons, challenges and her bestselling self-help book ‘The Light We Carry’.
Kiss, Kiss! (Streaming on Netflix from 26th April)
The Polish romantic comedy movie is about how a charming, persistent flirt sets his sight on an adamant would-be bride soon to be married to a politician’s son.
Scream VI (Streaming on BMS Stream from 26th April)
The slasher movie is about how the four survivors of the Ghostface killings attempt to start a new chapter of their lives in New York.
The Good Bad Mother (Streaming on Netflix from 26th April)
The Korean drama series is about a cold-hearted prosecutor, who becomes like a child following an accident. He relocates to his hometown and starts a new life with his mother and reconnects with an old friend. Will things be different for the mother-son duo this time?
The Nurse (Streaming on Netflix from 27th April)
Based on Kristian Corfixen’s book of the same name, the series is about a Danish nurse who worked in a hospital located in the outskirts of Denmark. The show’s underlying story follows a newly recruited nurse, who begins to suspect that a series of patient deaths at the hospital might be related to her charming and incredibly efficient night-shift colleague.
Sweet Tooth Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 27th April)
Backed by Robert Downey Jr., the DC-comics based fantasy drama series follows a half-human & half-deer boy Gus (Christian Convery), who attempts to unearth the mystery behind the origins of The Great Crumble with fellow hybrids.
Firefly Lane Season-2 Part-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 27th April)
Based on Kristin Hannah’s novel of the same name, the drama series follows the lives of two best friends – Tully, a popular talk show host and a struggling homemaker Kate. The story is about how the two women support each other through the ups and downs of their lives right from their teenage days set in the 1970s to their adulthood in the early 2000s period.
The Matchmaker (Streaming on Netflix from 27th April)
The suspenseful Saudi romantic drama movie revolves around an office worker who gets attracted to his pretty intern and follows her to a desert resort.
Citadel (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 28th April)
The sci-fi spy series features Scottish actor Richard Madden (‘Bodyguard’, ‘Game of Thrones’) and Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas (‘The White Tiger’, ‘Quantico’) in the lead roles. Richard Madden plays the role of Citadel agent Mason Kane, an amnesiac who does not remember his previous life.
AKA (Streaming on Netflix from 28th April)
The French action thriller movie follows the story of a Special Ops agent (played by former stuntman Alban Lenoir), who infiltrates a criminal organization and unexpectedly forms an emotional connection with the boss’s young son.
Peter Pan & Wendy (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 28th April)
The fantasy movie follows the adventures of a righteous girl Wendy (Ever Anderson), who travels to Neverland with Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), a boy who does not want to grow up. It also features Jude Law as the antagonist pirate Captain Hook.
