This Week’s Top Foreign OTT Releases: The Last of Us, Fauda S4 Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Hunters Season-2’, ‘Servant Season-4’, ‘Chasing Waves’ and ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

The Last of Us S01E01 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 16th January)

The survival horror series revolves around Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and is set in the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic world full of infected creatures. The basic premise is about how Joel, a hardened smuggler, is hired to transport a teenager Ellie across the country, while protecting her from omnipresent dangers.

That 90s Show (Streaming on Netflix from 19th January)

The teen sitcom is set during the 1990s period and is a sequel of the popular series ‘That 70s Show’. The show’s story follows the life of teenager Leia Forman, who visits her grandparents to spend her summer in the year 1995.

Women At War (Streaming on Netflix from 19th January)

Set in the year 1914, the French period war drama series focuses on the lives of four women who deal with the aftereffects of war in their own country.

Fauda Season-4 (Streaming on Netflix from 20th January)

Set against the backdrop of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Israeli series features Lior Raz in the lead role of Doron, a daredevil agent of the elite Israel Defence Force unit and his dangerous missions to protect his country.

Jung_E (Streaming on Netflix from 20th January)

Set in the post-apocalyptic and uninhabitable Earth in the year 2194, the Korean movie follows an AI researcher Seohyun, who clones the brain of her own mother and former legendary soldier called Jung_E. Now, the new robot mercenary might be the last chance to end the civil war.

The Legend of Vox Machina Season-2 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 20th January)

The action-adventure animated series revolves around a group of money-minded misfit Vox Machina mercenaries who realize that only they are capable of saving the Exandria realm from evil elements.

Bling Empire: New York (Streaming on Netflix from 20th January)

Described as a reality show version of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, ‘Bling Empire: New York’ revolves around the glamorous lives of affluent Asian-American socialites living in New York.

The French political comedy series features Jean-Pascal Zadi as a young leader who becomes a presidential election candidate in France.

Shanty Town (Streaming on Netflix from 20th January)

The thriller series revolves around a group of courtesans and their desperate attempt to escape from the clutches of a ruthless kingpin.

Bake Squad Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 20th January)

Hosted by Milk Bar founder Christina Tosi, the baking reality show is about a group of bakers, who compete with each other to enhance desserts in order to impress their clients.
