Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘House of the Dragon’, ‘The Walking Dead S11’, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Samaritan’, ‘Seoul Vibe’, and ‘Me Time’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up for release. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms from this week.
I Came By (Streaming on Netflix from 31st August)
The thriller movie follows a graffiti artist Toby (played by George Mackay), who vandalizes the homes of UK-based ultra-rich people by spraying the titular sign on their expensive walls. But the artist’s latest break-in at the house of former judge Sir Hector Blake (Hugh Bonneville) puts him and his loved ones in danger, after he discovers a dark secret about the judge in the house basement.
Love in the Villa (Streaming on Netflix from 1st September)
The romantic comedy film follows a young and recently single woman (Kat Graham), who travels to Verona, Italy. She later finds out that the villa has been double booked and she would have to share the place with a cynical and dashing British man (Tom Hopper).
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 2nd September)
Based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel ‘The Lord of the Rings’, the epic fantasy series takes place thousands of years before the events of the book and Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit’. The series would focus on the legends pertaining to major events that happened in the fabled Second Age of Middle Earth.
Devil in Ohio (Streaming on Netflix from 2nd September)
When a psychiatrist Dr. Suzanne Mathis (Emily Deschanel) brings a young cult escapee and her patient to her own home, the new member’s presence puts her own family in danger. The miniseries is based on Daria Polatin’s book of the same name, which in turn was inspired by true incidents.
Buy My House (Streaming on Netflix from 2nd September)
The reality series hosted by Nina Parker is about homeowners across the US trying to sell their properties to seasoned real estate investors in some exciting, on-the-spot deals.
House of Hammer (Streaming on Discovery+ from 3rd September)
The three-part docuseries revolves around the various allegations made against the infamous Hollywood actor Armie Hammer (The Man from UNCLE, Death on the Nile) and some alleged secrets and disturbing revelations pertaining to the Hammer family.
Little Women (Streaming on Netflix from 3rd September)
The twelve-part South Korean series is an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel of the same name. The story revolves around three impoverished sisters who share a close bond and how they get involved in a face-off against an affluent family.
