Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘The Deepest Breath’, ‘Justified: City Primeval’, and ‘They Cloned Tyrone’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated foreign OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Dream (Streaming on Netflix from 25th July)
The Korean sports comedy drama movie is about how a top football player lands up as a coach of the national team of homeless people and trains them for an international tournament.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (Streaming on BMS Stream from 26th July)
The seventh live-action Transformers movie is a prequel to the first Transformers film and is set in the 1990s period. The story is about how the Autobots team up with a new Transformers faction known as the Maximals in order to fight against the formidable Unicorn.
The Witcher Season-3 Volume-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 27th July)
The series features Henry Cavill as ‘Geralt of Rivia’, who is a professional monster hunter with special powers. His destiny makes him cross paths with Princess Ciri and the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg as they navigate their way through a corrupt medieval fantasy world called The Continent. The show’s third season is inspired by the second part of Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher book series titled ‘Time of Contempt’.
The Flash (Streaming on BMS Stream from 27th July)
Directed by Andy Muschietti, the movie’s underlying plot revolves around how Ezra Miller’s titular character The Flash travels back in time to save his mother from getting murdered and his father imprisoned, albeit with unanticipated repercussions. It also features Michael Keaton’s Batman, Ben Affleck in his Bruce Wayne / Batman version, and Michael Shannon as General Zod, amongst others.
Paradise (Streaming on Netflix from 27th July)
Set in the near future, the sci-fi thriller movie follows the story of a man who desperately tries to help his debt-ridden wife, who becomes the target of a sinister billion-dollar company which trades years of people’s lives.
Twisted Metal (Streaming on SonyLIV from 28th July)
A live-action adaptation of the vehicular combat PlayStation video game, the action-comedy series follows a terrific driver John Doe (Anthony Mackie) with no past memory. He is given the task of delivering a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With a car thief accompanying him, he must face fierce vehicular combat and other dangers during his mission.
Hidden Strike (Streaming on Netflix from 28th July)
The action-comedy movie features Jackie Chan and John Cena in the roles of former special forces soldiers, who must escort a group of civilians through Baghdad’s infamous highway of death while dealing with numerous obstacles during their mission.
How To Become a Cult Leader (Streaming on Netflix from 28th July)
Narrated and backed by ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Peter Dinklage, the six-part documentary series focuses on different cult leaders and how they gain a massive following and the skills to control people’s minds and bodies.
D.P. Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 28th July)
The story of the K-drama continues after the devastating incidents which happened at the end of Season-1. The basic plot follows a young soldier, who works for the titular unit called Deserter Pursuit aka D.P. which is tasked with tracking down military deserters.
The Tailor Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 28th July)
The Turkish drama series revolves around a young and famous tailor, whose life takes an interesting turn after he begins to make a dress for his best friend’s fiancée.
