Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Cobra’, ‘Plan A Plan B’, ‘Karm Yuddh’, and ‘Captain’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Raksha Bandhan (Streaming on Zee5 from 5th October)
The relationship drama helmed by Aanand L. Rai features Akshay Kumar as the eldest and the only brother of four sisters who must fulfil his promise of getting his sisters married before tying the knot himself. How he desperately tries to get his sisters married despite many financial and societal hurdles while dealing with his own romantic relationship with his childhood friend (Bhumi Pednekar) forms the film’s underlying plotline.
Eesho (Streaming on SonyLIV from 5th October)
Directed by Nadirshah, the Malayalam language thriller movie features Jayasurya in the titular and mysterious role of Eesho. Namita Pramod is playing the female lead in the film. The story apparently revolves around a murder where an ATM seems to be a key aspect related to the crime.
Karthikeya 2 (Streaming on Zee5 from 5th October)
Helmed by Chandoo Mondeti, the adventure thriller sequel carries forward the story of the protagonist Dr. Karthikeya (played by Nikhil Siddhartha). On his visit to the ancient city Dwaraka, he gets involved with the killing of an archaeologist and attempts to unearth the mystery behind it. The movie also features Anupama Parameswaran and Anupam Kher in important roles.
Gaalipata 2 (Streaming on Zee5 from 5th October)
Helmed by Yogaraj Bhat, it’s a sequel to the 2008 romantic comedy drama movie ‘Gaalipata’. The story follows three friends Gani (Ganesh), Mugilpete Diganth (Diganth) and Bhushan (Pawan Kumar), who reunite in Neer Khote to meet their sick teacher Kishore (Anant Nag). They intend to help their teacher and the plot also focuses on their love lives during college days.
Exposed (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 5th October)
The Telugu language web series follows the story of a reputed news anchor Greeshma and how her life takes a drastic turn after a rising star Varsha enters the picture. But there seems to be more to Varsha’s story than meets the eye.
Uniki (Streaming on Aha Video from 5th October)
Directed by Rajkumar Bobby, the crime thriller movie revolves around the story of a self-made and well-intentioned IAS officer Subbalakshmi (played Chitra Shukla) who survives a murder attempt which was made on her. How a cop named Abhimanyu tries to investigate the case and helps the IAS officer forms the film’s crux.
Maja Maa (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 6th October)
The family drama movie revolves around a devoted Gujarati middle-class housewife Pallavi Patel (played by Madhuri Dixit), who is a fabulous cook and an expert dancer. How Pallavi’s past secret becomes a deterrent to her son’s marriage and whether she is able to endure the unexpected hardship in the family, forms the film’s basic plotline.
Oru Thekkan Thallu Case (Streaming on Netflix from 6th October)
Directed by Sreejith N., the movie is based on the popular book titled ‘Ammini Pillai Vettu Case’ and features Biju Menon as a lighthouse keeper Ammini in a small place in Southern Kerala. He seeks revenge following an attack by a rival group led by Podiyan (Roshan Mathew) following a small altercation.
Feels Like Home Season-2 (Streaming on Lionsgate Play from 7th October)
The light-hearted and fun-filled series narrates the story of four bachelors who move into their first home together and how they deal with their quotidian lives and find comfort in each other while being away from their own homes.
