‘Dark Winds’ S1 is based on Tony Hillerman’s novel series ‘Leaphorn & Chee’ and is set during the 1970s period. The underlying plotline of the show revolves around two Navajo Tribal Police officers named Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McCalrnon) and his newly appointed deputy Jim Chee (Kiowa Godon).
These two cops begin to investigate a series of seemingly unconnected murders. But as they try to get closer to the facts, the duo is forced to battle their own past demons and confront their pre-existing beliefs.

Moreover, on another reviews aggregation portal Metacritic, ‘Dark Winds’ boasts of a metascore of 80, indicating generally favourable reviews.
