Thriller Based On Christie’s Best-Selling Novel Gets OTT Release Date!

Agatha Christie is a name fans of the thriller genre are well accustomed to. An English writer known for 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, Christie sold a record-breaking estimated 300 million books during her lifetime.

Her stories have inspired not only feature-length films like ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘A Haunting in Venice’, ‘Death on the Nile’, and more but also numerous well-received shows like ‘And Then There Were None’. Another series inspired by the legend’s novels and titled ‘Murder is Easy’ is set to release exclusively on SonyLIV on June 7.

The show revolves around a young and ambitious Luke Fitzwilliam who travels from Nigeria with the promise of a well-paying lucrative job in Whitehall. On the train to London, however, he meets the elderly Miss Pinkerton, who confides in him that there is a rabid killer on the loose in her village.

The two-episode thriller drama stars Penelope Wilton, popular for ‘Downton Abbey’, Douglas Henshall from ‘Shetland’, and David Jonsson from ‘Industry’. Jonsson leads the show as Fitzwilliam, the man tasked with uncovering a ruthless killer before they strike yet another innocent victim again.
