After unveiling the Telugu film slate for 2025 yesterday, Netflix has today launched the list of Tamil movies that will be making their way to the global streamer post their theatrical run.
The line up is a star studded affair with some of the most anticipated Tamil titles of the year coming to Netflix. These include films of Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar, Suriya and more. All these films will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi on Netflix.
Here all the Tamil films Netflix has acquired the rights for:
‘Good Bad Ugly’
Ajith Kumar starrer action comedy drama by Adhik Ravichandran, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ is a big budget movie that is eagerly awaited and will release in theatres on 10th April, 2025.
‘Retro’
Karthik Subbaraj’s romantic action film starring Suriya is another hotly anticipated title that will land in theatres on 1st May, 2025.
‘Bison’
Starring Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead, ‘Bison’ is a sports drama by Mari Selvaraj.
‘Dragon’
Ashwath Marimuthu directorial ’Dragon’ stars Pradeep Ranganathan who has co-written the story with Ashwath. Anupama Parameswaran stars as the female lead.
‘Kaantha’
We have loved with Dulquer Salmaan impress us with his performance in films like ‘Sita Ramam’, ‘Chup’, and most recently ‘Lucky Baskhar’, now he will do the same with this next project directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. Also stars Samuthirakani and Bhagyashri Borse.
‘Perusu’
A remake of the Sinhalese film ‘Tentigo’, ‘Perusu’ by Ilango Ram is touted to be a family comedy entertainer. The film, aiming for Summer 2025 theatrical release, stars Vaibhav, Niharika NM, Sunil, and Karunakaran.

Pradeep Ranganathan and director Keerthisawaran are coming together for a film details for which remain under wraps.
‘Vidaamuyarchi’
Based on the 1997 Jonathan Mostow’s ‘Breakdown’, ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ is an action thriller drama by Magizh Thirumeni starring Ajith Kumar in the lead. The film follows a husband who is on the search of his wife, who went missing during their vacation to Azerbaijan.
‘Thug Life’
Last but definitely not the least is Kamal Hassan’s much awaited ‘Thug Life’, a gangster action drama directed by the iconic Mani Ratnam. The film is set to release in theatres on 5th June, 2025.
