Tiger King Smashes Streaming Records For Netflix According To Nielsen Ratings

According to the latest Nielsen reports, the documentary series in Netflix, Tiger King is smashing all records for the opening and the first day days of streaming. It is far ahead of new released and also others in its category.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is a documentary mini-series comprising of seven episodes only. It is about the life of zookeeper Joe Exotic. Despite the low number, Tiger King has amassed a massive 34.3 million views in the first ten days itself.

The fact that Tiger King has achieved the extraordinary numbers despite it being a documentary is what makes it a staggering feat. The next best on the list are regular drama and thriller shows which are not even half of it.

It is not only the Netflix but also across other platforms as well because Nielsen takes others like Amazon Prime Video, even in consideration. The controversy surrounding exploiting wild animals, also part of it, has made the show a talking point all over the social media.

Siddartha Toleti: Perennially besotted with movies, I can’t imagine a day going by without watching one. Passion led to film reviews. The evolution has brought me on the digital platform. Alternatively, I love listening to music from the golden era of Hindi cinema, and Maestro Ilaiyaraja.
