Netflix just dropped the trailer for its show ‘Tiny Pretty things’, and for those who are wondering why we have chosen this title, it is because it is deeply reminiscent of the highly acclaimed movie which starred Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman. Tiny Pretty things has got the whole Black Swan meets Pretty Little Liars vibe to it.
If this project is crafted properly, it can be something that leaves the viewers in awe and wanting more. Tragedy strikes at Chicago’s most prestigious ballet school as friends turn to foes behind your back and alliances are constantly made and broken all for the sake of gaining coveted roles.
One has to closely navigate this plethora of secrets that hide beneath the limelight of this famous institute. The death of a star student of the elite school leaves everybody in shock but also proves to be an opportunity for a young girl who wants to make her mark. She seems happy to get into the college of her dreams but is it really what it looks like on the outside?
Everybody is suspicious of one guy, but nobody here comes without the baggage of their own. The race to the top can be really lonely, but an artist has to navigate through a lot more than just her art, and that seems to be the underlying theme just as it was with Black Swan.
Perfection has a steep price, and the trailer of ‘Tiny Pretty Things’ brings that message home. Tiny Pretty Things will stream on Netflix from December 14th.
