TMNT Mutant Mayhem May Outperform Sony’s Into The Spider-Verse

Paramount dropped the official trailer of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem’ some time ago, and it turned out to be an unexpected but pleasant surprise. The permanent teenager, Seth Rogen, successfully brings a Ninja Turtles project, exploring the ‘teenage’ lives of the fan-favourite anthropomorphic turtle quartet: Leo, Don, Mikey, and Ralph through the streets and sewers of New York. And, of course, we have their mentor, Splinter, guiding and keeping them safe from the outside world. The latest trailer shows how Sony’s Into the Spider-Verse has set the bar high for future animated features.

Into the Spider-Verse was a surprising hit. Its crispy animation quality offered viewers a whole new experience, thanks to its outstanding blend of 2D and 3D animation. The same can be seen in Mutant Mayhem as well. It seems like Sony’s all-time best animation project has inspired Paramount to break the boundaries of Western animation.

The latest TMNT trailer was nothing short of a visual feast. And this franchise badly needed something truly exceptional to uplift itself after getting deteriorated with live-action projects, TMNT (2014) and TMNT: Out of the Shadows (2016).

It is clear that Into the Spider-Verse has influenced Mutant Mayhem. And this style of animation fits the latter flick marvellously. This scenario also gives the upcoming TMNT project an excellent opportunity to shine. Additionally, the film is being heavily compared to ‘Spider-Verse’ these days in terms of animation quality. This will help Mutant Mayhem in generating enough hype among the cinemagoers.

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem’ stars Nicolas Cantu, Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr, Brady Noon, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, John Cena, Rose Byrne, Ice Cube, Post Malone, and many more talents. It will release worldwide on August 4. Stay tuned for more updates.
