Tollywood Star Nagarjuna is known for trying something different with his films. He is also known for giving chances to young talent right from the beginning. Now, the actor may become the first star of Tollywood to making his Digital debut. Nagarjuna has revealed this in a recent interview.
“It is very exciting to see a story narrated over many episodes. I came across a very interesting subject and will take a call very soon,” he revealed. Nagarjuna also opined that Digital platforms hold a great future for the industry. OTT is the future of entertainment, he says.
“OTT gives us a scope to experiment. They provide a fantastic opportunity for smaller films to find an audience. We are already witnessing a reverse phenomenon — Money Heist is now being adapted into a feature film. This is going to be an interesting phase,” Nagarjuna opined. A star like Nagarjuna doing a OTT project will make the phenomenon mainstream in Telugu.
Nagarjuna’s latest film, Wild Dog was supposed to skip its theatrical release and stream directly online on Netflix. But the makers pulled out at the last minute and are now releasing the film in theaters on April 2nd. Wild Dog is the story of an NIA operation to find the mastermind behind various bomb blasts in the country.
