Top 10 Indian Movies In The First Half Of 2023!

2023 is halfway gone. Amidst rain and this weekend, you might be wondering if you enjoyed good films on OTT these last six months.

Sadly, we can relate and say that these films even though these films are on the list, they are not something extraordinary. We didn’t get any out of the box film like Qala. Nevertheless, below is the list. Because sometimes, we have to choose the least bad instead of good choice.

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai – Zee5
This humongous hit on Zee5 is a path breaking film. After the crazy reception on Zee5, the movie was released theatrically too.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga – Netflix
The viewership of this film was so big that it dethroned RRR in the first two weeks. But it later calmed down. Yet, it is one of the most successful films this year.

Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery – Netflix
The social satire on Netflix was not promoted well. However, it is a good one time watch and entertains well. The movie stars Sanya Malhotra and Rajpal Yadav.

Gulmohar – Disney+Hotstar
Gulmohar is a family film on Hotstar that was led by Manoj Bajpayee and Sharmila Tagore. The movie has some flaws, but it portrays family bonds in a beautiful manner.

Mrs. Undercover – Zee5
This action thriller was led by Radhika Apte. The movie has some absolutely sharp and hilarious scenes that deserve your attention. Also, Apte is brilliant as ever.

Lost – Zee5
The film starring Yami Gautam is about getting justice when everything is against you. Although there are a lot of cliches, this movie is tolerable for one to watch.

Gaslight – Disney,+Hotstar
Things get tricky down from here. Gaslight is a poorly made film that needed a LOTT of improvement. Vikrant Massey and his good performance are the saving grace, but even after that, this film is just bad.

Lust Stories 2 – Netflix
Firstly, Netflix had to figure out what is so lusty in the last two films of Lust Stories 2. Tamannaah Bhatia’s film is a horror film, while Kajol’s is a revenge thriller.

The only saving grace is Konkana Sen Sharma’s Mirror starring Tilottama Shome.

Bloody Daddy – Jio Cinema
Bloody Daddy is a remake of the French film Sleepless Night. The movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and stars Shahid Kapoor. It is a very great example of how NOT to remake a film.

Mumbaikar – Jio Cinema
Vijay Sethupathi debuted in the Hindi film industry through Mumbaikar. Through his Tamil films, Sethupathi has a big fanbase in the Hindi belt. He should have chosen a far superior film and script, as his fans from the Hindi region were anyways disappointed.
