Unpaused: Naya Safar (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The anthology would narrate five unique stories featuring raw human emotions including love, longing, fear, and friendship which ostensibly relates to how the pandemic has changed people’s lives, thereby making us realize the value of life and emotions like never before. It features an ensemble cast that includes Shreya Dhanwanthary (Scam 1992), Priyanshu Painyuli (Mirzapur), Saqib Saleem (‘83), and Geetanjali Kulkarni (Court).
Shyam Singha Roy (Streaming on Netflix)
It’s a supernatural period romantic drama film that revolves around the intriguing concept of reincarnation. The film features Nani in a double role. One story is set in modern-day Hyderabad where he plays a film director, and the other story is set in 1970s Bengal where he is portrayed as a revolutionary writer called Shyam Singha Roy. How these two timelines relate to each other is the film’s crux.
Billions Season 6 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The show revolves around Emmy award-winning actors Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis, who portray a ruthless U.S. Attorney Chuck Roades and a billionaire hedge fund manager Bobby Axelrod, respectively, and how they use their wits and considerable resources to outsmart each other.
Ozark Season 4 (Streaming on Netflix)
The series features Jason Bateman who portrays the role of a Chicago-based financial advisor and also stars Laura Linney, both in the lead roles. The family relocates to the Ozarks in Missouri for money laundering activities. The fourth season of the Primetime Emmy award-winning show has been divided into two parts of seven episodes each.
Munich: The Edge of War (Streaming on Netflix)
Based on the bestselling novel ‘Munich’ by Robert Harris, the historical drama movie follows the story of a British civil servant Hugh Legat (played by George MacKay), and his friend from Oxford Paul von Hartmann (Jannis Niewöhner), who now works for the German government. They travel to the 1938 Munich conference and find themselves in a race to expose a Nazi secret as Hitler prepares to invade Czechoslovakia.
Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee (Streaming on Zee5)
It’s a Tamil language film set in the nostalgic 90s that revolves around the slice-of-life story of a bunch of high school students at a strict Catholic school and the day-to-day activities of their teenage 90s lives.
Bachelor (Streaming on SonyLIV)
The film’s underlying plot is about a carefree man named Darling (played by G.V. Prakash Kumar) who gets into a live-in relationship with a modern girl Subbu (Divya Bharathi). Things take an unexpected turn when Subbu wants to be a mom, but Darling is uninterested in being a father. What happens next forms the rest of the film’s premise.
Akhanda (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
Helmed by Boyapati Srinu, the Telugu language action-drama features Nandamuri Balakrishna in dual roles of a well-intentioned man Murali and that of an Aghori Akhanda bestowed with supernatural powers, who is an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. In actuality, these two are long-lost twin brothers who eventually reunite to fight against evil.
Loser Season 2 (Streaming on Zee5)
This is the second season of the Telugu sports drama web series set between the 1980 and 2000 period which revolved around the lives of three sportspersons Suri (a rifle shooter), Ruby, and John, and how their stories connect in unexpected ways.
36 Farmhouse (Streaming on Zee5)
It’s a unique family drama movie featuring a talented cast that includes the likes of Sanjay Mishra, Amol Parashar, and Vijay Raaz. The story revolves around a father-son duo who get into the titular farmhouse with hidden motives but eventually learn about a bigger plan hatched by affluent masters of the place.
Bhoothakaalam (Streaming on SonyLIV)
The film features veteran actress Revathy and Shane Nigam as a mother-son duo grieving over the recent death of a family member. The unemployed son begins to experience a supernatural presence in his house which affects his perception of reality and his sanity.
