Last week was marked with the arrival of many exciting foreign OTT films and shows such as ‘Reacher’, ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’, ‘Dark Desire S2’, ‘Murderville’, and ‘Suspicion’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have collated a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Love is Blind: Japan (Streaming on Netflix from 8th February)
This is the Japanese version of the dating reality show ‘Love is Blind’ which follows a group of marriage-minded singles who meet in Japan with the intention of getting engaged. But the catch is that the show’s format does not allow them to see each other. Eventually, the couples decide whether to go their own way or get married.
Snowdrop (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 9th February)
Set amidst the backdrop of South Korea’s 1987 democracy movement, the show revolves around the romantic relationship between a female freshman university student Eun Yeong-ro (played by Jisoo), and a mysterious graduate student Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in), who was found covered in blood by Eun Yeong-ro.
Catching Killers Season 2 (Streaming on Netflix from 9th February)
It’s a true-crime documentary series that follows the investigation by the police department and the efforts of the prosecutors pertaining to some of the most gruesome killings and how these perpetrators of violent crimes were brought to justice.
Inventing Anna (Streaming on 11th February on Netflix)
The miniseries is inspired by an article by Jessica Pressler which was published in America’s New York magazine. It follows a journalist’s investigation into a woman named Anna Delvey, who was able to manipulate New York’s affluent class into believing that she is a German heiress.
Tall Girl 2 (Streaming on 11th February on Netflix)
It’s the sequel to the 2019 rom-com movie ‘Tall Girl’. The film’s plotline revolves around a 6-feet plus tall girl named Jodi Kreyman (played by Ava Michelle) and takes place after the events of the parent film. It would follow another year of high school for a now confident Jodi as she deals with her nervousness about her newfound insecurities.
Cow (Streaming on Mubi from 11th February)
It’s a thought-provoking documentary film helmed by Andrea Arnold that revolves around the life of a dairy cow based in a Kent County-based farm located in Southeast England.
