Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT films and shows such ‘Soil’, ‘Deep Water’, and ‘Is It Cake’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have collated a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms this week.
Parallels (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 23rd March)
It’s a French sci-fi series that revolves around four teenage friends named Sam, Bilal, Romane, and Victor who live on the French-Swiss border. Their lives take a drastic turn following a mysterious event after which they get transported to parallel worlds in different time frames. Their efforts to find each other and return to their world form the show’s underlying premise.
Halo (Streaming on Voot from 24th March)
The show is based on the popular military action-adventure sci-fi game of the same name. It features Pablo Schreiber as a genetically enhanced super-soldier called Master Chief and how he defends the human race from an advanced alien alliance known as Covenant in the 26th century.
Bridgerton Season 2 (Streaming on Netflix from 25th March)
Based on Julia Quinn’s novels and set amidst the backdrop of Regency-era London, the show follows the lives of eight siblings who belong to the rich and influential Bridgerton family and their quest to find love in the high society of London.
Dune (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, BookMyShow, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, Hungama from 25th March)
The sci-fi film has been helmed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049). Set in a distant future, the movie follows the young protagonist (played by Timothée Chalamet) and his journey to the dangerous desert planet called Arrakis aka Dune, which is known to possess the most precious substance called melange.
