Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Thankam’, ‘Varisu’, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’, and ‘Puli Meka’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week which might prove to be a triple delight for Indian OTT audiences.
Waltair Veerayya (Streaming on Netflix from 27th February)
The film features Chiranjeevi as a well-respected fisherman who smuggles expensive items based in Vizag. He accepts a task to bring back a dreaded drug peddler from Malaysia. But the goings-on take a turn after the protagonist reaches Malaysia and there is more to the story than meets the eye. It also features Ravi Teja in an important role.
Gulmohar (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 3rd March)
The family drama movie revolves around the last four days spent by the Delhi-based Batra family in their 34-year-old home and around the relationships amongst the family members. Directed by Rahul V. Chittella, the film features Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Bajpayee, Amol Palekar, and Suraj Sharma.
Alone (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 3rd March)
Helmed by Shaji Kailas, the thriller movie revolves around a character named Kalidas (played by Mohanlal), who gets stranded in the pandemic induced lockdown while he is on the way from Coimbatore to Kerala.
Taj: Divided By Love (Streaming on Zee5 from 3rd March)
The period drama series revolves around the 16th Century Mughal Emperor Akbar (Naseeruddin Shah), and the ruthless battle of power behind the succession to the throne, which sparks a war among his three sons Salim, Murad, and Daniyal. It also features veteran actor Dharmendra Salim Chisti and Aditi Rao Hydari as Anarkali.
Thalaikoothal (Streaming on Netflix from 3rd March)
Set in Tamil Nadu, the film follows a man named Pazhani, who sincerely looks after his bed-ridden, comatose father. But when his family suggests euthanasia as an option, the protagonist must take a tough decision.
